Life Lesson #225: Please Teach it to Your Kids

I don’t care if you go to the bathroom with the door open.
I don’t care if you go to the bathroom while I’m there brushing my teeth.
I don’t care if you are six years old and sometimes forget to wash your hands.

What I DO care about, is that you learn to FLUSH the TOILET AFTER YOU GO!

No matter what.

Every time.

Please.

Life skill. Learn it.

FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH!

I’m baby-sitting at a foster home for 2 weeks as the mom is out of country at a conference. Thankfully she took the baby with her but we now spend a lot of time in the presence of two 6-year olds and a 7-year old.

My new skills now include braiding hair at the breakfast table while the head wiggles in any direction, getting honey out of hair, and avoiding flying bodies on scooters in the hallway.

I’m also getting a lot of practice flushing the toilet.
