Fifty-Four Weeks of Future: An Introduction

Hello All! I’m so glad you have found your way here!

For those of you who may stumble upon this blog and would like to know a little bit more about who I am or where I come from, click here to find out a bit about me! For the rest of you, I’m assuming you already know and love me and that is why you are here, haha!

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to start this blog. I don’t mind writing and I like to share stories (though I admit, mine are often quite long-winded and rather pointless). I have recently had a change in my life plans regarding the upcoming year, and between that and the fact that I have been all over the place in the last 12 months and people are often asking Where and What have I Been and Been Doing, and Where and What shall I Be and Be Doing, I decided it might be time to have a place for y’all to check in on me and keep track, if perhaps you’re interested! This shall be the place that I chronicle a few of the adventures that I am about to embark upon, and hopefully not bored you to death with my narcissistic ramblings (the word ‘I’ has shown up in this paragraph alone 12 times already. Did you notice?).

However, what I am looking forward to even more than telling you about my adventures is actually having some!

My next Great Adventure will take place three weeks from now when I trek approximately 1,000 km North of my current location to the Spatsizi Plateau, in Beautiful British Columbia! My summer job will be working at a fly-in fishing lodge as a server/housekeeper/kitchen helper-person. The lodge takes 8 guests a week and operates for 8 weeks during the summer. I am greatly looking forward to spending some time around the 57th parallel…mosquitoes, fish and dishes, here we come!

Soon after that, on September 9th, 2012, I will head to Abbotsford, BC to begin a missions program with MB Mission called TREK. I will be participating in the ten-month program: 2 months of training in Abby, and then 7.5 months spent oversees (destination currently unknown) followed up with a couple weeks of debriefing back in Abbotsford in June. Oversees, I will be on a team of 3 or 4 others and we will join with missionaries from MB Mission and work with them in a variety of ways. Stay tuned for more details! I’m trying hard to avoid being too wordy on this (already-longish) blog post.

So there ya have it! My next 12 months in a nutshell! If you are interested in getting a  real live, hard-copy, snail-mail letter  from yours truly describing more details about TREK and telling how you too can be involved (aka PRAY FOR ME) send me your address! My email address is annabrown_92@yahoo.ca. I would love to hear from you!

Most Sincerely,

Anna Brown

Adventurer.

It’s so nice to her from you! Send big pats back to the pups, and soak up the sun in Arizona! You and Ray take care of yourselves and enjoy the time away. I hope your foot and the shoulder heal up super quick and strong! You two are wonderful and I hope our paths cross again, and sooner than later : )
